This site is run by one person. Corrections and bug reports are the most useful thing you can send.
Report a wrong answer
Several tools here exist to return one precise number — a BMI category, a safe dose, a network range, a repayment amount. If one of them is wrong, that matters more than anything else on the site. Say which tool it was, the exact values you entered and what you expected instead, and it can be corrected quickly.
Report a bug
If a page will not load, a field does not respond, or a result comes out garbled, that is worth a message too. Mentioning the browser and device you were using makes it far easier to reproduce the problem.
Suggest a tool
Ideas for tools that would fit the collection are read with interest, though not every suggestion can be built. The most useful ones describe a specific question you needed answered and could not find a good answer to.
What happens to your message
Messages are read by the person who maintains the site. They are not sold, shared or added to a mailing list, and there is no newsletter to be signed up to. A reply is sent when one is useful rather than automatically, but every report of a wrong answer is looked at.
Worth checking before you write
Many apparent wrong answers are a limitation the tool already states on its own page: a body-mass index that cannot tell muscle from fat, an estimated average glucose that is a regression rather than a conversion, a stopping distance that assumes a dry road. If the page names the limitation, the number is probably behaving as designed — and a message saying that the limitation is not obvious enough is still a useful one.
What this inbox cannot help with
The health tools here produce screening numbers, not diagnoses, and no message can turn one into the other. Questions about what a result means for you belong with a clinician who can examine you; the same goes for legal and tax questions raised by the finance tools. What can be answered here is whether the calculation itself is right.
Write to [email protected]. Please do not send passwords, card numbers or other sensitive details — for reporting a bug or a wrong answer they are never needed.
